This year’s Pride Day will be on July 12.
On Friday, Bristol Pride announced their first Pride Day festival headliner: Kim Wilde.
Wilde, who will be joining the line-up as part of her European tour, has been a popstar since the 1980s.
Her hits include Kids in America which has over 200 million streams on Spotify.
Wilde will take the Afternoon Legend slot on Pride Day, a slot which has previously featured popular global artists including Natalie Imbruglia and The Human League.

Although Bristol Pride’s main stage headliner has yet to be announced, acts already announced include Europop and dance legends Cascada as well as dark dance music performer Tom Rasmussen and singer, producer and DJ Ultra Naté.
Bristol Pride is often one of the largest Pride events to take place in the UK.
This year, their cabaret stage will feature over 30 acts from across the UK and Bristol, including Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 11 runner-up, and host of Canada’s Drag Race, Brooke Lynn Hytes.
In total, the Pride Day festival will feature over 200 performers across five stages, including a circus tent and a dance tent.

The festival will offer more than just performances, with food, markets, bars and family areas offering something for everyone.
Attendees will also have the option of purchasing wristbands which provide fast track access to the festival, on-site discounts and free shuttle bus travel across the city.
Proceeds from these wristbands will help Bristol Pride maintain their year-round work.

“It’s an honour to have her performing with us. I know this will be a very special performance as we present our biggest ever lineup for the festival.”
