Santa on the move

Catch Santa on the move this Christmas with Avon Valley Railway and Bristol Ferry Boats. 

Bristol Ferry Boats are offering children a chance to meet Santa away from the convention grotto experience (and long queues). Children are invited to join the ferry elves on board a specially decorated boat and help search for Santa on the dockside. Once they’ve found him, Santa gets on board with a sack full of presents for a 45 minute cruise around the harbour. Children can spend time with Santa and adults can enjoy some sherry and mince pies. Tickets cost £12.00 per person. 

Avon Valley Railway are offering a similar experience, with their Santa Specials every weekend from late November until Christmas Eve, when Father Christmas will be aboard the steam train. Accompanied by his helpers he will make his way along the train, stopping to talk to all the children and give them each a present. The journey will last about an hour, during which time you can enjoy views of the Avon Valley from the old fashioned carriages of the steam train. Trains will depart from Bitton Station up to six times a day. Tickets are priced from £9.00 each.
