‘Well Done, Mummy Penguin’ brings Chris Haughton picture book to life on stage
From Can’t Sit Still, the team behind the adaptation of Chris Haughton’s Oh No, George! a stage version of another beloved Haughton picture book will be coming to Circomedia in mid-November.
Well Done, Mummy Penguin is a heartwarming exploration of the family dynamics of penguins, and “an irresistible ode to family bonds and incredible parenting everywhere”.
The story follows Mummy Penguin as she ventures far and wide in a quest for food for Daddy and Little Penguin, encountering dangers along the way.

For the stage, the narrative has been brought to life with a blend of “daring acrobatics, integrated sign language and heart-warming humour”, aimed at young audiences and their families.
Cat Boot is the artistic director of Can’t Sit Still, and a graduate and former teacher at Circomedia. “I’m delighted to be bringing this show back home”, she says.
