Show of Strength add new theatre walks to their busy autumn calendar
Bristol theatre company Show of Strength is fast approaching its 40th year.
Focusing their efforts on performing in ‘found’ spaces around the city, their array of historical theatre walks provides a fun and engaging way for people to discover, or to reappraise, their surroundings.
They are fresh from a busy summer presenting a walk as part of The Frankenstein Experience in Bath, as well as the Treasure Island Story Walk around the Bristol docks – in association with Gromit Unleashed, with 50 per cent of funds raised going to the Grand Appeal (Bristol Children’s Hospital).

And the company has now expanded its autumn programme due to demand.
Walks range from Blood and Butchery in Bedminster to Blood, Blackbeard & Buccaneers, as well as Crime and Crinolines in Clifton and Saints and Sinners in St George.
Film fans can enjoy Raising Cary Grant – The Bristol Footsteps of Archie Leach, while further afield in Keynsham, there is a Kings and Commoners walk on offer.
Throughout the year, all Show of Strength theatre walks are also available on a private group basis.
