The most Bristolian bars you will hear this year

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Dec 15, 2020

Is this the most Bristolian 37 seconds of music ever committed to record?

Live on SWU.fm, Slowie MC celebrates *deep breath* Rockleaze, Lockleaze, Henleaze, Henbury, Horfield, Dundry, Southmead, Westbury-on-Trym, Sea Mills, Shirehampton, Stockwood, Withywood, Hartcliffe, Knowle West, Bedminster, Stockwood, Stapleton, Bishopston, Easton, Whitehall, Eastville, Fishponds, Clifton, Frenchay, Patchway, Filton, Brentry, Kingswood, Keynsham, Warmley, Whitchurch, St Werburgh’s, St Anne’s, St Jude’s, St Nick’s, St George and St Paul’s.

Slowie actually mentions even more areas of Bristol than that in the full version of the track, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to hear that – with a video set to be filmed soon.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

The born and bred Bristolian said that he “wanted to write something that the whole city could be proud of and get behind – and not just mention the obvious ‘cool’ places”.

Slowie’s regular DJ, Koast, told Bristol24/7 that the lyrics were “actually been written as a bit of promo content” for a new release.

This is the instrumental featured in the video, Feltham Court by $H The Producer, which is coming out on the DeeOh7 label – run by Slowie, $H, Jinxsta JX and Koast – on January 15 2021.

DeeOh7’s most recent music video also features Slowie and $H:

Slowie also celebrates his Bristol roots in BRS Slang: part of which is filmed inside the Staple Hill tunnel on the Bristol & Bath Railway Path:
