Simple Things announce 2015 festival lineup
One of Bristol’s biggest and best music festivals has just made its first lineup announcement for 2015, and it’s looking pretty amazing so far. The multi-venue event – a firm favourite of Bristol’s music fans since launching in 2011 – returns for a fifth instalment on October 23 – 25.
Simple Things 2015 will open with a Friday night performance at Colston Hall by post-rock icons Godspeed You! Black Emperor. This should set the tone for a 16-hour marathon of leftfield live and electronic music from post-punk to techno on the Saturday.
The first wave of artists to be announced should more than whet your appetite, with live music from Battles (pictured), Wire, Dean Blunt and Factory Floor as well as DJ sets from the likes of DJ Funk, Ron Trent, Hunee, Objekt, Lone, DJ Funk and Helena Hauff.
With sets from midday to the early hours of the morning at the Colston Hall, Lakota, The Firestation and Old Coroner’s Court expect plenty more artist announcements in the coming weeks and months.
