New album from Natalie Holmes
Natalie Holmes’ new album Opposite Day promises to be “a bold, unapologetic exploration of the chaotic emotional landscape within ourselves and today’s world”.
The alt-pop artist will release her second album in October, saying it will take listeners “on a kaleidoscopic journey through the paradoxes of human existence”.
Natalie grew up in Keynsham and has lived across Bristol in Horfield, St Paul’s, Filton and St George, played at venues across the city, and collaborated with the Longest Johns.

Featuring on Opposite Day are musicians boci on violin, Rob Pemberton on drums and mix, Alex Heane on bass, and William J Stokes on co-production.
Holmes says her new album is “a collection of genre-blurring alt-pop that ping-pongs between introspective ballads and upbeat anthems” with influences ranging from Caroline Polachek and Aurora to The Japanese House and Bon Iver.
Opposite Day is being released on October 17 with the first single from the new album out on March 28 and Natalie dropping singles every month until the album release.
