In photos: Forwards Festival 2024

It was two days of eclectic, forward-looking music programming that saw headliners Four Tet, Loyle Carner, LCD Soundsystem and Underworld converge on the Downs, with diverse acts from the city and further afield – including CMAT, Cousin Kula, Nubya Garcia, Holysseus Fly, Jessie Ware and Baxter Dury – filling out the jam-packed bill.

But that wasn’t the only thing that made Forwards so very Bristol: the immaculate style, characterful eccentricity and unrelenting enthusiasm of crowds in the face of heavy thunderstorms showed our city at its best.

Here’s a closer look at the people that made the festival a weekend to remember.
