In photos: Bristol24/7’s International Women’s Day Afterparty
Revellers heard music from DJs A For Alpha, BBY GOOSE and Helena Larrosa on Saturday night as Bristol24/7’s International Women’s Day celebrations, in collaboration with Bristol City Council and the ALICE Project, came to a close.
International Women’s Day is annual celebration where people across the world recognise women’s achievements and campaign for women’s equality.
To mark the occasion in 2025, Bristol24/7, alongside Bristol City Council and the ALICE Project, hosted a day of panels, talks and workshops at the M Shed.
is needed now More than ever
Workshops included self-defence training, by Emilia Jastrzebska of the Roger Gracie Academy, and a life drawing class, run by Antonia Purdie of Purdie Life Drawing. Panels included discussions on the realities of working life for women in the journalism, radio and food industries.
After the daytime events, attendees were treated to an afterparty at the Bristol Museum, the first time the museum opened up for an event of this kind.
Festivities kicked off with stunning performances from Circomedia students in the front hall before an array of talented female DJs took to the stage.
