When did you discover the Fratellis?

“The first song I heard was Creepin Up the Backstairs played over a montage on Soccer AM in 2006. I loved it and sought out the band instantly!”

What’s your earliest memory of the band?

“Watching them support Kasabian in December 2006 at Earl’s Court. They blew the headliners away! From then on I saw as many of their shows as I could.”

The band hit the big time when they won the British Breakthrough Artist award at the Brit Awards in 2007, which was presented to them by Jarvis Cocker – photo: the Fratellis

….An your favourite memory?

“Queuing overnight to watch them at the iconic Glasgow Barrowlands in March 2018. It was freezing but so worth it to get on the barrier!

“That show was incredible. The energy and passion from the band on home turf was like nothing I’ve experienced before.”

What do you love about their music?

“They write great songs that have stood the test of time, I still listen to Costello Music once a week and it’s still fresh.

“It’s great music to dance and sing along to with your mates, a feelgood band. I defy anybody not to head straight to the dancefloor once the opening drums of Chelsea Dagger start.”

What are you hoping for from their Bristol show?

“All the classics played, the sun to shine and the beers cold!

“I love the venue, it’s amazing! I’ve seen lots of shows at the Canons Marsh Amphitheatre and it’s a great setting. The support acts too are top notch so it will be a fantastic night!”

The Fratellis take to the Bristol Sounds stage at the Lloyds Amphitheatre on June 28. Find all information and tickets at bristolsounds.co.uk
