Bristol Sounds announces first headliners for 2026

By Ursula Billington  Thursday Oct 9, 2025

Bristol Sounds has announced two major headline acts for the next edition of its annual gig series, taking place in June 2026.

The two shows will feature an act that racked up hits in the eighties and the first-ever full run through of a multiple-platinum album from the 2000s.

The week-long series of concerts at Lloyds Amphitheatre is taking its regular slot at the end of June, with this edition avoiding its usual clash with Glastonbury Festival which takes a year off in 2026.

On June 26, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark take to the stage, doubtless performing some of their countless hits including Enola Gay, Souvenir and If You Leave.

The act produced their latest, politically-charged album Bauhaus Staircase in 2023 and have just completed their biggest UK tour of a career that spans four decades.

The second headliner, appearing on June 27, is the Streets who will perform boundary-pushing 2004 album A Grand Don’t Come for Free in full for the first time.

The record includes tracks Dry Your Eyes, Fit But You Know It and Blinded by the Lights that have stood the test of time, remaining much-loved club classics even twenty years after their release.

Producer and lyricist Mike Skinner has cemented his reputation for creative innovation and quality songwriting with latest album The Darker the Shadow the Brighter the Light and collaborations with everyone from Kano to Greentea Peng.

The two headliners follow previous years’ lineups which have featured big names including Supergrass, Texas, Self Esteem, Manic Street Preachers, Craig David, Bonobo and Bloc Party.

Tickets for Bristol Sounds go on general sale on Friday 17 October, with presale sign-ups available at bristolsounds.co.uk
