Spilling the beans on Wallace and Gromit

By Robin Askew  Saturday Sep 20, 2025

As keen students of film credits will not need reminding, cinematographer Dave Alex Riddett has filmed all the classic Wallace and Gromits, from The Wrong Trousers to Vengeance Most Fowl. Now Aardman’s veteran cameraman is to tell all about working with the renowned plasticine duo at a special charity event in aid of St Peter’s Hospice on Saturday 1 November as part of the Bristol Literary Film Festival.

So if you’ve ever wondered whether Gromit is a diva or Wallace is a secret drug fiend, now is your chance to find out, as Dave promises a look behind the scenes and will be taking audience questions in an event punningly entitled Work Aard, Play Aard. Tickets are available here.
