New Film Releases: December 29 2017-January 4 2018

Cabin fever? Tired of that rancid Tesco turkey (or healthy smug veggie equivalent)? The cinema industry is eager to lure you across the frozen wastes to sit in a different darkened room. The big New Year’s Day release is crime thriller Molly’s Game (go here for our full review). Those of a more spiritual disposition may prefer ‘mindfulness’ documentary Walk With Me. If you’re still catching up, the Watershed’s welcome season of the best releases of 2017 is going strong all week. They’ve also got a big-value double bill of Gloria Grahame classics The Big Heat and In a Lonely Place to accompany the return of Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool.
