Free People’s Wildscreen screenings revealed

By Robin Askew  Monday Sep 19, 2016

A couple of weeks ago, the full Watershed screening programme for this year’s biennial Wildscreen festival of natural history filmmaking was announced. Now a whole host of additional events have been revealed, all of which are completely free. They include pedal-powered and pop-up cinema screenings of Panda Award-nominated films in venues as diverse as St. Andrews Park, St. George’s Park, Big Screen Bristol, Ashton Vale Community Centre and Arnos Vale Cemetery.

In addition, there’s a free open-air photography exhibition at College Green from October 7 to 28, featuring large-scale images by some of the world-class nature photographers who are also taking part in Wildscreen’s photography day at St. George’s on Friday 14 October. To mark the start of the public programme, UpFest regular Louis Masai will be creating two new permanent pieces of street art featuring little-known endangered species – namely the pangolin and sea turtles – in BS1 and BS5 over the weekend of September 23-25.

Here’s your handy cut’out’keep/copy’n’paste/whatever guide to the free screenings:
