Ever since Barbie was knocked off her perch, each week brings another new chart-topper. This time it was the turn of the third of Ken Branagh’s Agatha Christie adaptations, A Haunting in Venice, in which Branagh’s Poirot investigates a death at a séance. This one’s already ahead of its predecessor, the covid-delayed Death on the Nile, but lags behind 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express. After just two weeks, record-breaking thriller Jawan now ranks among the top ten Hindi-language releases in the UK, while the arthosue hit of the moment, Past Lives, is holding up well in sixth place. Further down the chart, it appears there are enough QAnon-supporting right-wing Christians in the UK to keep Sound of Freedom in the top ten after three weeks on release.
