From the creator of The White Lotus and the animation studio behind Minions . . . Yep, it seems like an unlikely combination, but Migration has been a hit with critics and audiences alike, deposing Mean Girls and becoming one of four new releases in this week’s top ten. It comfortably beat rival Argylle, leaving the Matthew Vaughn spy thriller in second place. Jonathan Glazer’s Holocaust drama The Zone of Interest made the top five too, with the highest screen average of any film on release. Also enjoying a strong screen average in tenth place was Cord Jefferson’s brilliant Oscar contender American Fiction. And after nine weeks on release, Wonka passed the £60m barrier to snare 26th place in the UK all-time chart.
