Lil Wenker presents the internationally successful: ‘BANGTAIL’
Co-created by Lil Wenker (performer) and Cecily Nash (director), BANGTAIL is the debut solo show that has taken international audiences by storm, selling out Adelaide Fringe – where it won a Weekly Comedy Award, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe and shows across the US.
Billed as “a clown western about a cowboy-turned-accountant searching for his purpose”, it blends storytelling with traditional clowning tropes and plenty of raucous audience interaction, and manages to be “at once funny, stupid, and moving”.
As the self-styled Baddest Cowboy in Texas is deposed, he must reconcile his past and present in order to discover a new purpose in life.

“The show is inspired by my father”, says Wenker, “and it’s been such a joy touring this very rowdy, silly show all around the world.”
Wenker will bring the show to The Wardrobe Theatre on June 5, as part of a UK tour. “I’ve never been to Bristol before”, she says, “and I’m super excited to connect with a new audience.”
