A Halloween night of rats, revelry and ruin’: the Loco Klub tunnels play host to ‘The Ratcatcher’s Ball’
On Halloween Eve, the suitably eerie labyrinthine tunnels beneath Bristol Temple Meads will play host to The Ratcatcher’s Ball, a one-off spectacular at Loco Klub.
The night comes from veteran virtuosos of immersive theatrical events, The Invisible Circus, and a raft of circus and live art performers who will be bringing the underworld out of the shadows, and turning “high society upside down” as the evening progresses.
“As the hidden ashpits beneath the station face their greatest rat problem since the 1600s, audiences will be drawn into unprecedented demonstrations of rat-catching ‘competence’ and morally dubious displays of theatrical excess”, organisers warn.

‘A Lozzer’, The Invisible Circus
“From pro-rat wrestling and pole-rat dancing to fire, knives and unexpected feats of showmanship, this tongue-in-cheek descent into Bristol’s underworld is not for the faint of heart.”
There will be thematic sideshows and games aplenty, from ‘Hook a Rat’ to ‘Splat the Rat Nude Lifedrawing’ and ‘Gambling Corner with The Big Cheese’.

‘A Leo’, The Invisible Circus
And a cabaret – rechristened ‘cabarat’ – will be followed by a ‘rodent rave’ from 11pm until the early hours.
The dress code has been announced as ‘Sewage Chic’, ‘Rat Kings and Queens’, or ‘Plaguesome Paupers’, with guests encouraged to embrace the full extent of their inner depravity.
