Bristol Hippodrome launches Baby Book Club

By Sarski Anderson  Wednesday Jan 24, 2024

Bristol Hippodrome is launching a monthly ‘Baby Book Club’ aimed at babies and young children of six months up to pre-school age.

Taking place on the last Friday of the month in the historic theatre’s Piano Bar, the event will be launched on January 26.

“Bristol Baby Book Club takes stories from an independent bookstore and brings them to life with a local reader,” organisers say. “Parents and guardians can enjoy tea or coffee alongside the reading. Each month the story will be different with worlds to explore and discover together.”

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Kyle Pryke is creative learning officer at the venue, and is excited to be announcing this regular, inclusive event for young families.

“Exploring stories with creative reading for young people and families is a core part of our Creative Learning departments vision in Bristol, allowing imaginations to flourish in a creative space encouraged and facilitated by our local creative experts,” he says. “The fun of reading is for everyone and we hope to see you there!”

Bristol Baby Book Club (age recommendation 6 months+) is at Bristol Hippodrome’s piano bar on January 26 at 9am, and then on the last Friday of the month. Tickets are available at www.atgtickets.com.
