Molly Mural: the public art brightening up Bristol

By Sarski Anderson  Monday Jun 5, 2023

Artist and designer Molly Mural is making a name for herself as a female mural artist working in a signature style that is recognisable on interior and exterior walls, shop and house fronts all over Bristol.

She has harnessed her bold and vibrant aesthetic, most often featuring overlaid shapes in different colours, on anything from beer cans to basketball courts; billboards to textiles.

Although she has painted prominent murals in Stokes Croft, Molly Mural’s public work is concentrated in the east, and the south of the city, from St George, to East Street in Bedminster, Southville and Victoria Park.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

She sees her murals as a celebration of life, nature, and the community. “I am constantly inspired by the vibrant and dynamic energy of Bristol, which offers a beautiful canvas for my public art,” she remarks.

“The city’s colourful streets and community spirit provide the perfect backdrop for my work, which is all about capturing joy and positivity. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to share my art with this wonderful city and its people.”

From her Easton studio, Molly Mural also hosts monthly collage workshops, suitable for all ages and intended to connect participants with their inner artist.
