Twenty years on, the old gang reunite for this Trainspotting sequel, adapted in part from Irvine Welsh‘s novel, Porno.
Whether the superannuated junkies will manage to strike quite the same zeitgeist-surfing chord remains to be seen, but here’s the plot outline: after two decades away, Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to Scotland and all the shit he left behind. Old pals Spud (Ewen Bremner) and Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) are waiting for him. Psycho Begbie (Robert Carlyle), meanwhile, has just got out of the slammer. As before, John Hodge is on adaptation duties and Danny Boyle directs.
