New lease of life for former Salvation Army shop
A former Salvation Army charity shop is about to receive a new lease of life.
The Salvation Army shop on Gloucester Road, which closed its doors for good in 2024, is set to become a co-working space and cafe.
Planning applications have been submitted for 10-12 Gloucester Road, which include proposals for new signage.
Early February the site received planning permission for the installation of canopies and is currently waiting for the outcome of the planning application for new signage.

The building, which dates back to 1855, is also home to a dental practice and several offices, with car parking access through Elton Lane.

The cafe is expected to be run by & café part of the FED family, with locations at Cotham and Fishponds.
The fresh planning coincides with the closure of the co-working space hub of Future Leap, a few yards away, which had been operating for six years.
