Construction work to begin on £35m multi-storey car park
After securing unanimous planning approval in autumn 2025, a contractor has been appointed for the Southern Gateway scheme in the Temple Quarter Regeneration Zone.
Kier Construction is set to finalise a £35m deal to deliver a seven-storey car park and separate cycle hub at Bristol Temple Meads, beating Vinci, GMI Construction, Goldbeck Construction and Huber Parking UK in the tender process.
Contract signing is expected to take place in late February with the construction work set to begin in March.
Designed by AHR and Arup, the scheme includes a 379-space car park, a three-storey cycle pavilion with more than 530 secure spaces, new public realm, a southern station entrance and upgrades to Bath Road.
