As modern mainstream cinema continues to eat itself, here’s yet another remake of a relatively recent film. Mediocre yuppies-in-peril/home invasion flick Cold Creek Manor was released in the UK just 15 years ago, and even then felt somewhat dated. But now it’s back in a new guise.
This time Michael Ealy and Meagan Good are the wealthy big city couple who buy their dream home in the Napa Valley, where they intend to raise their perfect sprogs. Unforutnately for them, original Cold Creek Manor star Dennis Quaid returns in the bad guy role as the aggrieved former owner who’s determined to get his house back.
