Neil Jordan‘s first film since Byzantium seven years ago is a bonkers blend of psychological thriller and comic horror, with a terrific cast.

Chloë Grace Moretz plays a lonely young waitress who finds a handbag on the New York subway. Naturally she decides to return it to its rightful owner. Alas, this turns out to be the great Isabelle Huppert on pleasingly demented form, who promptly becomes obsessed with her new young friend. Irredeemably daft and hugely enjoyable, this sub-Hitchcock nail-biter boasts lashings of humour and the considerable advantage of two great actresses let off the leash to wreak havoc.
