Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Barry Sonnenfeld are all absent from this fourth MIB film, which is billed as a spin-off from the original franchise. But you may or may not be overjoyed to learn that Emma Thompson is reprising her role from Men in Black 3.
This being 2019, a diversity drive makes the title rather redundant and the bankable leading duo are familiar from superhero movies. Indeed, Chris Hemsworth, who has form in protecting the galaxy from alien threats, reunites with his Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson as Agents H and M. Their deadly extraterrestrial foes are The Hive, who can mimic anyone – even MIB agents. Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray is behind the camera.
