The Kid Who Would Be King

Joe Cornish
Running Time
120 mins

Joe Cornish (of Adam and… fame and director of Attack the Block) directs Andy Serkis’s son Louis Ashbourne Serkis in this Arthurian kiddie fantasy about a 12-year-old schoolboy who happens upon Excalibur.

Now the nerdy nipper and his chums must form a new round table to take on mediaeval villain Morgana (Rebecca Ferguson), who’s bent on all the usual. Patrick Stewart turns up as Merlin along the way. Part of the film was shot in Cornwall (Tintagel, specifically) last year.
