After years of being at the centre of her family, little Molly Monster is confronted with change. Mama monster has produced an egg, which Papa must hatch (hey – this is modern PC animation, right?) far away on Egg Island. Now Molly embarks on an adventure during which she comes to terms with being a sibling.
A staple of German TV, Molly Monster comes to the big screen under the watchful eye of her creator Ted Sieger. It’s a gentle tale with a moral for pre-schoolers, presenting parents with an interesting dilemma when it comes to explaining all that funny business about eggs and babies.
