Directed by Icíar Bollaín (Take My Eyes, Even the Rain) and written by Ken Loach’s regular collaborator Paul Laverty, this drama is based on Carlos Acosta’s autobiography No Way Home: A Cuban Dancer’s Story. It follows his formative years in Cuba as a dancer, his relocation to London and his relationship with his father, charting how he went on to become the first black principal dancer with London’s Royal Ballet.
It’s broadcast live from the Royal Opera House and is followed by a Q&A with Icíar Bollaín, Paul Laverty and Acosta himself.
