André Rieu 2019 Maastricht Concert: Shall We Dance?

Director
Pit Weyrich
Certificate
12A
Running Time
130 mins

Back in January, the alarmingly popular, bouffant-haired, self-styled ‘king of the waltz’ broke his own UK box office record when the broadcast of his New Year Concert took £1.8m – more than many Hollywood movies, and a great deal more than broadcasts by the whippersnapper likes of Take That – to become the top-grossing concert release of all time.

Now he’s back with his 32nd annual hometown concert staged in the Vrijthof. Expect the usual programme of light popular classics performed by André with his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra and a cast of more thna 100 dancers. Excitingly hosted by Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins, the broadcast also inlcudes a stage-side interview with André Rieu himself.
