The mobster flick gets an F-rated makeover in Straight Outta Compton co-writer Andrea Berloff‘s directorial debut, which is adapted from the Vertigo comicbook series of the same title.
We’re in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen in the 1978, where the wiseguy hubbies of Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish and Elisabeth Moss have found themselves inconveniently incarcerated. This obliges the ladies to step up to the plate and take control of all the whackings and rackets. Pleasingly, they prove more than equal to the task.
