Like Roma, this is yet another Netflix release, though thankfully Thunderbird have picked it up for UK distribution, which means we get to see it in cinemas.
A reworking of the acclaimed, slyly funny 2014 Israeli film of the same title, it casts Maggie Gyllenhaal as the eponymous dissatisfied, middle-aged Staten Island nipper herder who becomes obsessed with the notion that one of her pint-sized charges may be some kind of child prodigy. But her championing of his talents soon takes a dangerous turn.
