The Art of Racing in the Rain

Director
Simon Curtis
Certificate
PG
Running Time
109 mins

Nobody ever went bust making a talking dog movie. Just ask the folks behind A Dog’s Purpose, A Dog’s Journey, etc., etc. But who’d have thunk Oscar-winner Kevin Costner would wind up on mutt-voicing duties, huh?

Said beast is Enzo, through whose eyes the lives of his human companions (Milo Ventimiglia, Amanda Seyfried) are observed. My Week with Marilyn and Woman in Gold director Simon Curtis is behind the camera and it’s adapted from a bestseller by Garth Stein, which incorporates the reincarnation theme from A Dog’s Purpose as well as elements of the cancer weepie. Truly something for everyone, then.
