Yet another period drama with Keira Knightley. Barely has she removed the Colette garb than she’s raiding the dressing-up box once again for this steamy tale of passion, betrayal and stylish 1940s dresses from Testament of Youth director James Kent.
Keira’s in chilly post-War Hamburg this time to join her colonel hubby Jason Clarke, whose mission is to help rebuild the devastated city. But there’s a surprise in store when she learns that the couple will be sharing their new home with its previous owner – hunky German widower Alexander Skarsgård, who chops wood in a particularly manly fashion. Oh, and the colonel has to bugger off for extended periods as part of his duties. Can you tell where this is going yet?
