Argentinean director Benjamin Naishtat‘s most accessible feature to date is a period drama set against the turbulent backdrop of the military dictatorship, the Dirty War and “the disappeared” back in the late 1970s
Dario Grandinetti (whom you may recognise from Pedro Almodovar’s Julieta and Talk to Her) is cast as a provincial lawyer who’s verbally assaulted by a mysterious stranger in a restaurant, setting off a chain of events that will eventually lead to his life unravelling.
