Rachel Weisz produces and stars in Oscar-winning A Fantastic Woman director Sebastián Lelio‘s first English-language feature – an adaptation of Naomi Alderman‘s debut novel.
Weisz plays Ronit Krushka, the estranged daughter of an orthodox Jewish rabbi, who now lives and works in New York. Following her father’s death, she returns to London for his funeral and the reasons why she was ostracised by the community become clear. Rachel McAdams and Alessandro Nivola excel in supporting roles and the film has been praised for being impeccably non-judgemental.
