A Season in France

Director
Mahamat-Saleh Haroun
Certificate
12A
Running Time
101 mins

Chadian director Mahamat-Saleh Haroun‘s first film set in France, where he now resides, is a powerful, compassionate Loachian drama exploring the refugee crisis.

It follows single father and former schoolteacher Abbas (Eriq Ebouaney), who fled the war-torn Central African Republic and now works on a Parisian market stall to support his two young children. But his application for asylum is mired in bureaucracy because of his lack of documentation.
