A highbrow doc about the life and work of legendary choreographer Merce Cunningham, who enjoyed a long personal and professional relationship with composer John Cage and died at the age of 90 back in 2009.
Perhaps surprisingly, the film makes use of the increasingly moribund 3D format, which we were once assured was the future of film, to capture its illustrative dance sequences. So prepare to pull on those clunky goggles.
