This well-meaning if disastrous Alzheimer’s comedy is Til Schweiger‘s US remake of his 2014 German film of the same title.
Nick Nolte is cast as the afflicted old codger, who moves to London to live with his son (Matt Dillon) and daughter-in-law (Emily Mortimer), and then decamps on a nostalgic trip to Venice with his granddaughter (Nolte’s own daughter Sophie Lane Nolte). “There is nary a convincing moment in this fiasco,” groaned one critic, watching through his fingers.
