It’s 1975, twenty years after Giant was filmed in the nearby Texan desert. A group of female James Dean fans (Cher, Karen Black, Sandy Dennis) reunite to pay tribute to their late hero and reflect on the changes in their lives.
Robert Altman, who also directed a Broadway stage version with the same cast, succeeds in brilliantly in opening up Ed Graczyk‘s play for the screen (watch how he uses that wall mirror), eliciting superb performances from his female ensemble.
