Originally a run-of-the-mill spy caper with David Niven getting top billing, Blake Edwards‘ first Pink Panther flick from 1963 was reworked to become a comedy classic when it was realised that Peter Sellers‘ bumbling Inspector Clouseau was stealing every scene.
