Bristol City Women supporter dies after collapsing during game

A Bristol City Women supporter has sadly died after collapsing while watching the team play on Saturday.

The club put out a statement passing on sympathy and the condolences following the incident at their WSL match against Aston Villa, which was played at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium.

“Everyone at Bristol City is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a City supporter who collapsed at Saturday’s Barclays Women’s Super League Game against Aston Villa,” City’s statement said.

“We send our sympathy and condolences to the family and friends and this difficult time.

“We would also like to thank the on-site medical staff and stadium staff at Walsall FC for their efforts.”
