Better Bristol June Update 2020

This month we’re celebrating Pride Month with a look at our dedicated LGBTQ+ content and projects including our feature length documentary Talking LGBT+ (scroll down to view).

As you can imagine this year for Better Bristol has not gone as we’d planned. We were thankful that our Stories From Our City project culminated with a showcase in February, shortly before lockdown measures were introduced.

The project with boomsatsuma gave young people from marginalised communities the chance to take part in a 15-week film-making course, and all the films can now be viewed here.

While we’re unable to run our face-to-face projects we have been focusing on our commitment to tell stories from all areas of the city. We have more exciting news to come about this next month as we introduce our Community Reporters project.

For now back to Bristol Pride, which was due to begin tomorrow but will now take place online between 1–12 September. Enjoy!
