TreeFest lights up St Mary Redcliffe

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Nov 29, 2016

Christmas trees decorated by businesses, schools, community groups and charitable organisations from across the Bristol are going on show at St Mary Redcliffe Church.

Last year TreeFest raised £5,000 for charity – this year’s charities are Bristol-based Mothers for Mothers, which supports women who have suffered postnatal depression and St Mary Redcliffe Church outreach programmes.

Event organiser Marcus Ashman said they are hoping to make even more this year while providing a spectacular festive show: “Treefest is a spectacular visual display of Christmas trees set in the Gothic splendour of St Mary Redcliffe Church in the run-up to Christmas.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

“It is a wonderful demonstration of the city’s diversity and creativity and provides organisations with a great opportunity to express what they contribute to the life of the city.”

The event runs from from December 9 to December 13 and there is still time for organisations to get involved.

Here’s a selection of the tree highlights from last year to inspire you.

The Artrageous tree, decorated by children who visit the Children’s Scrapstore and using recycled materials inspired by Artrageous products

Avon & Somerset Local Community Police Team tree, the team works closely with the church and the community and supports events
