Search for DJ Derek goes nationwide
The search for DJ Derek is now nationwide.
Derek was last seen on CCTV leaving the Criterion pub in Ashley Road, St Paul’s, Bristol soon after midnight on July 11.
Former neighbours of the popular DJ said they had seen him at Yate bus station at around midday on July 16 or17.
While members of Derek’s family are not confident that he was seen in the South Gloucestershire town, police are treating the sighting as “credible” and are working on the theory that Derek passed through the area.
Derek often used public transport in South Gloucestershire and travelled further afield but has now been missing for over a month. He has not returned to his home in St Paul’s or been in contact with family or friends.
Police have conducted exhaustive enquiries across Bristol and the South West and are now looking to build on the national publicity they have received to aid in their investigation.
