Famous north Bristol Christmas lights display returns

By Yasmin Attwood  Monday Dec 19, 2022

A family that puts on a much-loved annual Christmas lights display is aiming to raise £100,000 for charity.

It all started in 1994, when the Brailsford family in Brentry, first bought some lights in a B&Q Boxing Day sale.

From then, their display has grown and grown, including a life-size nativity scene imported from America. They now have so many lights, from life-size Santas, snowmen, trains and elves to a large reindeer family in the garden, that they have to begin setting everything up in October.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Brothers Lee and Paul are the faces behind behind one of Bristol’s most festive homes, who have spent 27 years turning their mum Rosemary’s house into an idyllic winter wonderland.

To date, they have raised over £91,000 for Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal which helps sick children.

The Christmas display attracts hundreds of visitors each year

The lights are switched on everyday from 5pm until 10pm at 16 Trevisa Grove, Brentry, BS10 6QU.
