Who are Favourites to Win Eurovision for 2025

By Advertising Feature  Monday Mar 17, 2025

Since 1956, the European Broadcasting Union has brought us bangers and one of the most anticipated competitions—the Eurovision Song Contest. This year, fingers are crossed and heartbeat pumping as we await the 2025 Eurovision song contest. Now while some of the participating countries have been preparing for over a year, it has always been a time of predictability. As competing countries bring their best performance to our stage.

With the hype almost reaching fever levels, questions are being asked about which nations are the favourites to win, and performances to look out for. To help us get a better understanding of how everything could unfold, Kate Richardson our guest post writer will analyse and speculate on the favourites to win the competition.

Who are The Main Contenders for Victory
Since the inception of this competition, countries like the UK, Switzerland, France and Sweden have been top contenders to win the Eurovision. However, for the 2025 version, we believe that Sweden looks like the strongest contender.
But with the way they finished last year, a lot of pundits are tipping Switzerland to do the double. This doesn’t mean that other countries aren’t a threat, as we saw fierce competition last year with Ukraine and Croatia showing the Western European countries that they meant business. The pair of Austria and Belgium have also shown that they have what it takes to compete at the top and could give us an underdog race at Eurovision 2025.

Who Will Win the Eurovision Song Contest 2025?
We have to admit that predicting the winner of Eurovision 2025 isn’t a straightforward task. It comes with making predictions that could take a wrong turn at the main events in Basel. Although we might see a pattern to winning with odds being offered by bookmakers, we can only hope there are no surprises.

As Jon Ola Sand, former Executive Supervisor of the contest, once said, “In this contest, there is no place for organised attempts to unfairly influence the outcome.”

So, if you are looking to place a bet on the winner of the Eurovision then finding the right bookmaker is your best bet. This is mostly because there will be a whole lot of odds fluctuation as the games reach a crescendo. And this is where comparing and making your pick of the best bookmaker could determine if you win. But still, we are most likely predicting that Sweden will have a good outing at Eurovision 2025.

Sweden Still Favourites to Win Eurovision This Year
As we have mentioned, we believe that Sweden has the best chance to be the dominant country in this year’s competition.

This county has shown that they have what it takes to win, and they can back this up with their 8 wins since the competition’s inception. However, if you are looking for a differential, then we will most likely root for France or Austria to be the second-best option.

Odds Eurovision Song Contest 2025
If you are looking for odds on teams to bet on at the Eurovision 2025, then you should know that the odds will continue to fluctuate as the event draws closer. However, here are some of the best odds we think you can look out for when making your choice.

  • Sweden – 74%
  • Austria – 71%
  • Israel – 71%
  • France – 62%
  • Finland – 55%

These odds have been curated to reflect the top 5 countries’ chances of winning Eurovision 2025. With countries like Israel and Finland showing promises of taking Europe by surprise, we can only wonder what shock results will unfold. As we know, Eurovision is full of last minute unpredictability, and all it takes is one standout performance to change the tides.
