Tips for an online retail business

Cat from online business Howkapow shares her tips for an online retail business

1. Photos are key! Make sure you take the best photos you can to give people as much of an idea of what the product is like in the flesh.

2. Compare prices and price match! Get your prices right, so make sure you know what your competitors are selling as it’s very easy for people to search for other retailers selling the same products.

3. Swift and prompt delivery with tracking is now seen as industry standard for products which have any value, so make sure you get this right.

4. Packaging is also key – get your packaging looking professional it is the only physical contact you have with the customer so make it look pretty!

5. Good customer service goes a long way. Make sure you reply to emails within 24hours as customers can get jittery otherwise and it makes you look unprofessional.
