Occupation: Student
What’s the best thing about Bristol? “Probably the music scene.”
What’s the worst thing about Bristol? “Hills. There are too many hills.”
What are you wearing? “These are just some old sneakers, and I think my dungarees are from Primark. And I found this shirt just lying around my house.”

Liam Kirby

Age: 31
Occupation: Musician
What’s the best thing about Bristol? “The music scene. It’s so varied and interesting.”
What’s the worst thing about Bristol? “The traffic is awful.”
What are you wearing? “My sandals are Birkenstocks. I got these trousers from a company that sells cowboy clothes, because I like wearing braces.

Alice O’Brien

Age: 20
Occupation: Student
What’s the best thing about Bristol? “I love the Suspension Bridge.”
What’s the worst thing about Bristol? “Um… the drugs.”
What are you wearing? “Everything is from charity shops, apart from the Converse. And I painted the word ‘sunshine’ across the back of my jacket yesterday.”

Kim Chung

Age: 23
Occupation: Waitress
What’s the best thing about Bristol? “There are so many interesting people.”
What’s the worst thing about Bristol? “I’m not sure… probably the traffic.”
What are you wearing? “My jumper is from River Island, and I’m not sure what the t-shirt underneath is but it’s probably a band t-shirt”.

Ed Mahoney

Age: 24
Occupation: PhD Student
What’s the best thing about Bristol? “It’s a very quirky city, which I like.”
What’s the worst thing about Bristol? “I’m not sure. I don’t like to focus on the negatives.”
What are you wearing? “I got this Pride flag from either London or Newcastle Pride. I’m wearing this flag for 65 days after the shootings in Orlando. Each day represents one of the lives lost in the Orlando shootings, and the shootings in a gay club in Mexico which wasn’t reported on until Orlando started getting money. I’m wearing this flag because I believe that the best way to combat homophobia is to be visible.”
