No doubt about Diggity Doughnuts

By Martin Booth  Monday Dec 6, 2021

You wait for a doughnut shop to open in Bristol and then three open almost at the same time.

Diggity Doughnuts follows in the footsteps of Small Goods and Future Doughnuts to offer the sugary spherical treats (with Small Goods’ doughnuts now also available in sister cafe Small Street Espresso).

On offer on a recent Friday morning at Diggity Doughnuts was the traditional jam alongside lemon meringue, cinnamon, salted caramel and berry.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Peppermint chocolate could make an appearance soon, with seasonal and holiday specials due to be on the counter next year.

Coffee here – in a unit located between Nelson Street and Rupert Street – is from Bristol Twenty, roasted in Avonmouth, with specials including a millionaire or Lotus latte, and cold drinks including frappes and milkshakes.

Diggity Doughnuts co-owner Michael Dilloway also owns the Butcher’s Block in Portishead, with this latest venture opened with Lucy Dilloway.

Despite around a dozen benches at tables around the windows made from reclaimed scaffolding boards, the setup here is very much for takeaway at the moment, with no plates or cutlery currently available.

Being underneath a block of student accommodation, some customers will not need to walk far at all for their doughnut fix, with their no doubt that Diggity Doughnuts will satisfy Bristol’s increasing craving for sweet treats.
